ITR torque converter scavenge pumps can be fitted on machines equipped with torque converter motor decoupling systems, with either direct drive or power-shift transmissions.
The function of the torque converter is to transfer the engine torque to the transmission by exploiting the combined actions of a pump and a turbine: the pump, driven mechanically by the engine, generates centrifugal force to the converter fluid which in turn induces rotation of the turbine. When the fluid energy is dissipated it is returned to the uptake reservoir and the cycle repeats. The process of constant fluid recycling is guaranteed by the scavenge pumps.
Like all the products produced and marketed by ITR, every individual pump is carefully engineered, industrialized, and subjected to strict performance and sealing tests inside our production sites.
